Membership

Aspen Valley is a private club operated by its members. There are 400 memberships in the club, all of which are currently issued. That said, each year memberships become available for resale, and those resales happen through the club. Membership includes privileges for either a single member or the family (spouse and children 25 and younger).

The financial responsibilities are three-fold. The first is the one-time, partially refundable initiation fee which is based on market pricing. The second is annual dues. The third is the food & beverage minimum. Beyond that, if you choose to buy something, you pay for it. But there are no “catches.” If joining a private club is something you’ve been considering, there should be nothing about the Aspen Valley membership offering that should concern you.

Part of the club’s success is tied to its commitment to operate in a financially responsible manner. Most are surprised by the affordability of membership. The current financial commitments (based on 2021) are as follows:

  • Initiation Fee: Starting at $9,000, dependent on market pricing
  • Annual Dues: $2,988 for a single Member, $3,997 for a family
  • F&B Minimum: $300 per year

Wait List Information

Currently the club is on a Wait List for new membership consideration. The Aspen Valley Wait List is established based on the order in which the application is received. When a membership is made available by an existing Member, those on the Wait List are notified in order. If the membership for sale is at the club-suggested price (currently $9,000), the person on the Wait List must act on the purchase of that membership within 24 hours. If they fail to do so, they forfeit their spot on the list and the next person on the list is contacted and provided the same option.

On occasion, memberships are offered for sale at above the club-suggested price. In this scenario, those on the Wait List will be offered the opportunity to purchase the membership; however, if they decline, they are able to maintain their position on the list for if and when another membership becomes available.

The club does not disclose the number of people on the Wait List, nor does it disclose anyone’s position on the Wait List. That said, we would encourage anyone who is on the Wait List to take advantage of memberships that become available, as we are currently experiencing very infrequent departure from the club.

To join the wait list, complete the Membership Application (PDF) and submit it to the club General Manager via email. Currently Wait List deposits are not required; all payments are contingent upon acceptance for membership if and when a membership becomes available.
